Well you should just call the British Embassy (or Consulate) in France and ask them that question as anything any Fodorite, unless an Egyptian having done the same before, will just be conjecture.
You are asking the question at the wrong source - call the British Embassy in Paris and ask.

https://www.visainfoservices.com/Pag...wDoIApply_PAGE says you can apply for your visit visa in Paris even though you aren't a resident.

You can apply but the application might be delayed if it is decided to refer the application back to country of residence or the country of origin if outside the European Economic Area. At least this is how I read the visa info on how to apply.

The rule is that UK embassies do not deal with anyone who isn't a legal resident of the country the embassy is in - ie they don't deal with tourists.
However out of the goodness of their own hearts they may take pity on you and process the application.
BUT unless you have a long term visa you aren't likely to get the visa issued before you return home and you need to check the terms of the visa that allows entry to France as it may be cancelled once you leave France / Schengen
