Can I buy Volterol in Dublin without a prescription?
Hi folks--I partially dislocated my shoulder just before Xmas, and while I managed to escaped ripping my rotator cuff, I managed to rip everything else.
I AM going to PT. Nevertheless, recovery has been slow and sleep has been nearly impossible.
What has helped get me two hours of sleep at a time is my Votarol gel that I picked up in Paris the last time I was there. It works better than taking massive amounts of Motrin or Aleve, that's for sure. However, I'm nearing the end of my supply.
I'm heading to Ireland at the end of the week. Can you buy the Voltarol gel or patch over the counter there?

Absolutely, Googled first. Lots of mail order listings popped up, including Amazon UK, which apparently ships Super Saver to Ireland. Alas, I don't think my Prime membership takes care of shipping to the US
.
Again, I just wanted to know if I could zip in a chemist's in Dublin the way I can in Paris to get the darn stuff. It is now legal in the US WITH a prescription, which will be my fallback.

Legally as far as ROI is concerned any such products are only supposed to sold by pharmacies. You should have no problems other than perhaps an odd question from a diligent dispensary as to whether you are pregnant or on Heart medication.

Hmm. I am pretty sure you have to have a prescription in the US, so while one Amazon entry is showing "item not in stock", another is showing one from an "Illinois storefront". Aka...Canada.
Anyway, the tube shown on the site I bought for 5E in Paris. Over $25 by the time you add shipping in US. I think I'll price it at the local pharmacy here just for kicks (will just ask out of curiosity since I will have to go through another doc visit--$20 co-pay--to get a prescription). And I will let you know about my pricing in Dublin too.
Of course since I know I can get it cheaply in Paris, I would prefer having just one more excuse to return.

If you get an MD here to give you an Rx you can get up to 5 refills - so the $20 is only a few $ each. Seems a lot easier than trekking around looking in pharmacies in other countries - where the product may or may not be Rx.

It's an over-the-counter medicine in UK so I'm pretty certain it's available in Ireland without prescription. I have seen in many pharmacies in UK but not on open shelves in supermarkets etc, as it has to be sold by a pharmacist. Sold by Boots here: http://www.boots.com/en/Voltarol-Emu...-100g_1133481/
