Can Colosseum/Palatine Hill Ticket be used for multiple days?

Can I use the combined ticket over 2 days: visit Colosseum on one day and Palatine Hill the following day? I cannot seem to find the info anywhere. Thanks.

I just looked at my ticket from January and they give you a window of use. I bought my ticket at 9:30am and it had to be used by 3:30p the same day.

...this is printed on the back of the ticket by the way.

Also, you can technically get in only one time with a ticket. Last week, we had visited the colosseum in the morning, and my husband and I walked back down to that area in the afternoon, because our tickets said they were good until 4 p.m.

We weren't able to go through the turnstile with our tickets, and the guard scanned them and said, "You've alredy been here today?" When we told him yes, he said that you can only go in once on a ticket, but then he let us in anyway! (I think it was our Southern accents that charmed him!) Anyway, unless you get a really nice guard, you won't be able to re-enter the Colosseum.

I don't think they intended on reentry like at Disneyland. I assume they thought tourist might want to secure their tickets ahead of time to avoid lines.
