Can anyone recommend a day tour guide Paris

I need some help in finding a guide for myself and grandson(14) . We will be in Paris for one week in late June. I did contact a Michael Orsan but have not had a reply since i sent my dates so I think he must not be available on the dates I am in the city. I was disappointed as I read here that he was excellent.I would really like to get someone for at least one day . Any suggestions appreciated

Keep trying for Michael. If he can't do it he has friends who are also excellent.

Yes, keep trying for Michael. Don't be shy about sending another e-mail. He did mention to me that it is best if you send him the e-mail so he gets it first thing in the morning, his time.

Gretchen&jgg Thanks for the advice I did get a wonderful reply to my first e-mail but when I answered and mentioned my dates I didnt receive an ans . (2wks now)so I am not sure why he did say he was busy with many tours .I dont want to be annoying so hence my attempt to find someone else.

With a child PLEASE keep trying for Michael. YOu won't regret it. He is an excellent teacher--he makes things so interesting by the way he expresses himself.

Agree, agree, agree--keep trying for Michael.

Thank you for your replies I did try calling direct for Michael but no luck just voice mail and I did not leave a message as I still have not gotten an answer to my e-mail the only reason I can think of is that he may be away? Does anyone know if I may get a "live" ans at the tel# or is this just a business # ?

Just got back from Paris and spent 4 days with Michael. He's around but busy. Plus he was having an AOL issue last week. If you can't reach him or if he's unavailable, I have the name of another guide who is also excellent, but more expensive. But that info is at home....

I have been patiently waiting for a reply from Michael I did send another e-mail after I read that (dcd) he had an issue with AOL I thought maybe the e-mail was not getting through. I have now given up .I would appreciate getting the name of another guide if you would like to e-mail me at [email protected]

With a 14 year old, have you considered the Segway tour? It is super fun and my teenagers LOVED it. Do a search on here for other reviews of it, lots of us have been on it.

Here's the link:

Thanks wilwl for the suggestion about the Sedgeway Tours at first I was a little dubious but I read the comments about them and I think I could manage them . Cant be too difficult? I am hoping to get my week planned and I was so disappointed that I had no reply from Michael even a "too busy " would have been nice. Anyway I am moving on .

The attraction to Segway tours is riding a Segway, not seeing the city. Kids might like it for that reason, and certainly some adults like it for that reason as well. I don't know that it has any real advantage over just walking and taking the Métro if you actually want to do sightseeing, though.

I think, a boat ride would be a better choice over segway if it's to see the sights. I know Michel is overwhelmed. His associate is away.
