Can anyone help me find an old Venice thread please
A couple of years ago I was browsing old Venice threads and ran across a very interesting one that someone had put together but I lost my bookmarks when the hard drive went on my computer. I don't remember many details but I'm pretty sure something like the street numbering system was covered as well as following a trail round Venice, maybe of gargoyles. Sure there were gargoyles in there somewhere! It was a thread about lots of different things to look out for as you wandered round the city. I'm afraid I can't recall a lot more about this thread but it did stick in my mind as being full of information.
Does this ring any bells for anyone please? A link would be brilliant. Thanks |
Perhaps it was one of the threads written by Peter_S_Aus. He has written a number of threads that combine many aspects of Venice. You can use the advanced search for threads he's written and link to his member profile to search more.

I believe ellenem is correct. This thread may be what you're looking for.

It is!! Talk about not having much information to work on - well done.
I'll take a look at some of Peter's other threads too. Guess who's going to Venice!! Thank you. |

The book "Secret Venice" by Jonglez is great - it will drag you around all sorts of places in Venice that you would otherwise not see.
The Venetian bowling club in Santa Croce for example, and the adjacent community gardens. |
Hope you'll do a trip report!
