Can anyone advise on the best way to transfer from Split airport to Hvar?
 

Hi there,
Hoping that someone can advise on the best way to transfer from Split airport to Hvar? We are travelling in September this year and decide to book everything ourselves as the tour operators couldn't provide us with a suitable package. Now of course we need to organise transfers from Split to Hvar and then Hvar to Dubrovnik and really don't know where to start. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Ferries to Hvar run from Split. Most go to Stari Grad, but some go directly to Hvar town or Jelsa. Schedules are on www.jadrolinija.hr. If you get the ferry to Stari Grad, buses and taxis wait on the quayside for Hvar town and other parts of the island. The airport is beside the main coast road north of Split, so you need to take a bus or taxi to the port of Split.

Be aware that the ferry shedules change out of high season, which could impact your Hvar to Dubrovnik trip.

The ferries are the way to go for sure. I did that trip with mopeds and found the ferry system run by Jadrolijna to be outstanding. Also, there isa great overnight ferry from Rijeka outside of Trieste to Split. On Hvar there is a very neat nudist camping outside of Stari Grad...
