Campania Arte Card
Does anyone know for sure if the Arte Card covers transportation in the Naples-Sorrrento region? I have gotten mixed responsives on other web sites if this card includes transportation within the Campania Region or not. We will be in Sorrento for 7 days visiting the usual attrctions in the Campania area.
Thanks for any advice, John |
You get several answers because there are MANY types of Arte Card.
http://www.campaniartecard.it/EN/ Specifically: "Tutta la regione 3 days" includes most public transportation "Tutta la regione 7 days" does NOT include transportation |
Thanks Greg, that was a big help on making my plans.

Greg or anyone with advice, is the Campania Arte Card worth it? We would get 2 3 day cards since we are there a week.
Thanks for any advice, John |
It would depend on where you are staying, how many places you plan to visit and how much transportation you would be using.
A one day pass for the Sita buses along the coast is about 7€ or about 3€ for one leg of a journey (Sorrento to Amalfi). The train between Sorrento/Naples is about 3.50€ one way. Most sites are pretty cheap with Pompeii and Heruclaneum being about the most expensive (about 12€ each). There's also a weekly transport only pass you can buy on the UNICO website. http://www.unicocampania.it/index.ph...anner=costiera |
The only way to know is to calculate the individual entrance fees and transportation costs for the period of time of your sojourn in the Campania region, then compare that with what you would pay if you purchased one of the Artecards. It's not difficult to calculate if you know where to look. Entrance fees are given in the artecard website. Transportation costs are found in the Unicocampania website, and are calculated according to zones.
