Camera battery charger

What will I need to make my camera battery charger compatible with the electrical outlets in Ireland?

Check the manual to confirm dual voltage (usually the case). Then get an adapter so it will fit in the outlet.

My battery charger is not dual voltage. I plug it into a converter which is plugged into an adapter. You can buy dual voltage chargers at Radio Shack for about $30. Since I have owned the converter since 95, I am not buying a new dual voltage charger but am spending my $30 on Smithwicks or Guinness for the hubby!

It's rare to find a battery charger that came with a digital camera that is not dual voltage. All you need is a $5 adapter for the plug (3 flats pins).

Since those cameras and battery chargers are made for WORLDWIDE sale and use I agree it is VERY doubtful that it will not accept 220V..CHECK the label on the charger for the "input." If it reads 110-220V all you need is the plug adaptor.
