Camera Bag Strap

Has anyone found a strap for a handbag or camera bag that has some type of wire in it that would make it more difficult for a thief to cut through? Thanks.

No idea if it is any good or what. But ran across this site while searching for a waist pack.

Travel Smith has that for purses, don't know about camera bags.

I have seen negative posts about cabled straps though ... if someone snatches it, say from a motorscooter, people have reported being dragged down the street because the strap did not detatch. Fact or urban legend, I have no idea.

"..from a motorscooter, people have reported being dragged down the street.."

I personally knew a lady to whom exactly what Suze discribed happended in Rome 10 years ago. Worse, while being dragged, she got her head hit against a poll or something. She died ..

which reminds me of a funny story. My neighbor, an elderly lady walked her dog every morn and carried an old purse to put the plastic bag she put her dog's doo in. One Morning along came a kid on his bike and snatched her bag.
We joyfully laughed thinking of him opening that purse.
