Camden Town Pub w/non smoking area

I'm leaving for London w/my 18 yr old son on Wed & am hoping to find a pub w/decent food near the Camden Market area that would have a non-smoking area. Any suggestions?

Hello Petite1 - My understanding is that Smoking has been banned in all hotels, restaurants and pubs in the UK.

I was in London in July 06 and everyone was smoking outside - just like in the US.

You shouldn't have any problems - enjoy your smoke free trip!!

The smoking ban starts on July 1. The original poster is going to be there on Wednesday, April 4. So she'll still be wanting that pub advice....

If you visit http://www.fancyapint.com , and click on "by location" at the top, and scroll down until you find "Camden (London)" on the left, you'll see a fairly comprehensive list of pubs in the area. You won't find much information about smoking areas there, alas, but you will get some very valuable news about the type of clientele they tend to attract, which is critical information is a young, trendy area like Camden Lock, where a lot of the pubs can be pretty scary, or just loud, on a Saturday night.

Hi Calif2Hebrides,
That is not entirely correct.
Smoking is banned in all enclosed places from tomorrow 02/04/07 in WALES.
England (slow as usual) will follow suit in July.
I'm off to the pub tomorrow night to breath clean air and not smell of smoke when I get home.

Brilliant
Well done National Assembly for Wales.
