Camargue area

Does anyone know about riding the camargue
horses in Provence?

I don't know the name of any specific place but whenever we drove around the area, we passed so very many places that you could hire horses. The sight of the wild white horse , black bulls and pink flamingoes is a treasured memory. I want to see that old movie, A Man and a Women again because the scenes photographed in the Camargue were before I visited there.

Here's a site with lots of information about the Camargue. Look for "Promenades (or Randonees) a cheval" under Holiday Activities. If you need help with the French let me know.

Let me recommend a great place to stay. The Mas des Peint.

One of the travel magazines recently had a big article on the area - sorry, i don't remember which one.

If you like suspense novels, read Alistair McLean's Caravan to Vaccares which is set in the area - it was the first place I ever heard of the area
