I've noted from a couple of posts that you're going to Paris and Normandy around the middle of April. This time you'll be paving the way for us instead of the other way around. We will be in Paris and Normandy in August. We'll also be in Loire April 24 to May 8. Any chance your trip calls for a stop there and that our paths might cross? I'd be interested to hear your itinerary if you're willing to share--here or directly at valdisvikmanis at comcast.net Another cheesehead.

Welcome to Fodors -- There is no reason to ask only those from Wisconsin for advice. Lots of others have been to those places :) Plus the title of this thread doesn't tell anyone what you are asking. Plus Plus - the thread is 8 years old and had no responses.

So - what you should do is start a new thread of your own w/ your own questions - and tag it for Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic (see the 'Start a new Topic' orange box up top)
