Calling all non-US citizens: Which US Pres. candidate would you vote for?

There's a thread in the Fodorite Lounge asking non-US citizens which Presidential candidate they'd vote for. Quite a few US citizens are looking forward to your response.

Ira,

This is a travel forum.

Thus schuler directed posters like me to the Lounge to discuss politics.

I.

If you comment, please say which country you are from and when is your next election, so we can all give our opinions on that. ((*))

Somebody has too much time on his/her hands.

I liked how Arnold Schwarzenegger performed in the Simpsons Movie.
Let's make him president. He sounds sooo cool when he speaks German with his funny Styrian farmers dialect.

Just want to hear him say:
"Leeed us nuke oll those Ireenians"

My MIL is Viennese and our gubernator's accent drives her crazy.

logos999 Mar 27th, 2008 09:57 AM

In his movies, he's always dubbed by some high german speaker. I first heard his voice when he was promoting Terminator I, everybody in the audience was giggling. A man big as a tree, and a voice like a stryian hillbilly. Anyway he's unique.

Lawchick Mar 27th, 2008 09:58 AM

My husband is from the same area as Arnie...and sounds almost exactly the same as him. If only Arnie could be president....

Jean Mar 27th, 2008 09:59 AM

Lawchick, I guess you don't live in California.

Lawchick Mar 27th, 2008 10:01 AM

Thank goodness, no!

LAwoman Mar 27th, 2008 10:10 AM

I never would have known he has a hillbilly accent, were it not for MIL. Just sounds like a germanish accent to us Americans.

Now, the Decider, on the other hand...

13 responses and no one answers the question...Senator Clinton!

jelane Mar 27th, 2008 10:40 AM

I just turned off Fox news to get away from this and find this a surprising thread.....

AAFrequentFlyer Mar 27th, 2008 11:15 AM

What does this have to do with travel?

btw, since you need to know...

I wish Herr Hitler or Uncle Stalin were running.

Lawchick Mar 27th, 2008 11:19 AM

no one has answered the question as it is running in the lounge rather than here...as schuler directed us to....

You really wouldn't want to vote for sons and brothers and husbands of some presidents. There are millions of people in your country, you really think husbands and sons are a good choice?
Sounds more like some freaky kingdom. :D

LAwoman Mar 27th, 2008 11:36 AM

I am discussing Austrian accents, and how they sound to fellow Austrians vs Americans. I don't know about you other people...
