Cake hunt!!!

Hey guys, will be in London shortly and my partner will be celebrating his birthday while we are there. Would love to hear everyones recommendation for a great cake shop, or somewhere that makes yummy cakes. Looking forward to any suggestions!!! Thanks in advance.

Patisserie Valerie. There are (I believe) 3 different branches in London. One is near Green Park.

The best cakes ever and if you take them away with you they put them in beautiful little boxes with a ribbon (even just a small cake).

Ditto Patisserie Valerie. There's one behind Harrods & another (where I had a birthday cake made a few years back) is on Brompton Road west of Harrods across from Brompton Oratory.

Patisserie Valerie does make good cakes. If you want a spectacular cake, go to Jane Asher, Chelsea Green (Cale Street, near King's Road). You can have any shape of cake made.

PV is a tad too sweet for me. I like Richoux, and also the guy who sells cakes and chocolate truffles at Borough Market, on the south side near the barber.

forgot to mention my fave: Maison Blanc.
