Cafe/Bistro with view

In July,we will be staying in Paris in the 6th with friends who have not been to Europe before. We have budgeted about 35 euros plus wine, per person and I would like to find a cafe/bistro with a view for our first night eg. Eiffel Tower, Seine, Notre Dame etc. I know it's asking a lot, but you never know.

Toni:

How about a bistro near the Trocadero? There are bistros with outdoor seating that will give you a great view.

Chez Francis (opposite Alma Marceau metro station) has fabulous views of the Tour Eiffel (be sure to book and ask for a window table with a view). If the weather is pleasant, dining on the terrace is fabulous. The food here is not outstanding, but prices are moderate.

Another restaurant with fabulous terrace with a terrific view of the Tour Eiffel is Bistro de Breteuil in the 7th (reservations essential, there's a website). Here, the prix fixe menu is €32 and includes appertif, three courses, half bottle of wine, even coffee. We were there a few weeks ago and found the food absolutely wonderful.
