Caesar Augustus Hotel Capri?

Has anyone stayed there or heard much about it? I am planning on staying there for part of my honeymoon. I'm also considering splurging on the Capri Palace, any thoughts on that place? Thank you!

hi:

I'm not sure if this is the same hotel but I will be staying at Cesare Augusto Hotel Via degli Aranci, 108 Sorrento Italy 80067 in mid-march for a couple nights. Let me know if this is the same hotel and I can give more info when I return.....

I don't think that is the same one, this one is on the island of Capri, sounds like yours is in Sorrento. But thank you and enjoy your trip!

Jill, Two years ago, I was seriously considering this hotel. Upon further investigation, I found that the address for the hotel is Anacapri on the Isle of Capri - not the location I wanted on Capri. Also, when I requested informtion about the room, I received the following hand-written note from the manager: "Only one room has a shower. It is difficult, for one night, to guarantee that room for you. All bathtubs also have showers." The price, at that time, was 250,000 lire standard room, 330,000 lire for sea side.
