Caen to Bordeau too far?

We were planning on driving from Caen to Bordeau in about 4 hours. Do you think this is realistic? I need to book a room in St. Emilion but maybe we should stop on the way?

When I drove around the speed limit with a 10 minute break from Paris to Bordeaux, it took me more than 4 hours.
Knowing that Caen to Bordeaux is more or less the same distance (taking the A28 from Caen to LeMans and Tours and then down to Bordeaux), I would rather count on 6+ hours.

You do realise it is over 600km between the two? As Parisian says 6 hours is a more realistic time.

The correct spelling is Bordeaux, and I think it's unrealistic to expect to get there in 4 hours. Plus, St. Emilion is a half-hour east of Bordeaux. You should count on about 6 hours, more if you plan to make stops on the way. So, no, 4 hours is not realistic.

I do like the idea of the singular of Bordeaux to be bordeau. Could explain Gai Pari :-)

Thanks everyone for your replies. I knew as soon as I saw my posting I spelled Bordeaux wrong.
