CAEN Museum and Left Luggage?

We will be travelling through France by train.

We would like to see the museum in Caen on the way to our hotel in Bayeux. The train station at Caen does NOT have any facility for left luggage while touring the city.

Does anyone know if the Memorial Museum at Caen has a place for keeping luggage while touring the museum?

Thank you.

We are doing the same trip in 1.5 weeks and have the same question.

Although I don't have the answer to your question, I would suggest that you e-mail the museum.

Here's the link:

Thank you Katie2 for your suggestion.

I did email the museum and I have received a reply from someone named Isabelle who told me that they would be able to store our luggage while we visit the museum.

I just hope this is accurate and that there is some type of security for safeguarding the luggage.

Thanks again.

Thanks for the info. I was wondering what I was going to do with a minimum of 3 hours between the train from Paris and the one to Bayeau.

Katie2...We're all here to help each other. Feedback is important. And I always appreciate very much the time that someone takes to give me a reply. Over the years, I have benefited greatly from the kind help of total strangers. I thank you again.

Joeyrm7: WOW....I didn't realize that there is a 3 hour wait between trains!! I will have to check out the schedule very carefully.

However, you might find you need even MORE time to see the museum. I have heard that this is an extremely interesting exhibit and you might need even MORE time to see it properly.

Whatever you do...please come back safely and write about your experience.

Bon Voyage and Bon Appetit!!!

The wait times in Caen for the train to Bayeux vary greatly. If I can make the 12:00 train from Paris (I land at 10:00 in CDG) there is virtually no wait. I am also arriving on a Sunday which I am sure affects the schdule
