I think your daughter would enjoy watching the male strippers in Montreal more. From what I have heard, nothing is left for the immagination.

joey365_000, my sentiments exactly, except we just got up and walked out. I did feel a little awkward, but yes, that's the place.

My take on this thread is very simple and may have been mentioned already. The original poster should avoid the Louvre and most of the other art museums. As I know there is quite a bit of nudity there as well.

Yes, fat nudes are best avoided.

"Maybe they feel guilty or ashamed about having done something and getting other people to do the same thing makes them feel better or less guilty/ashamed?"

Geez, what's that psycho babble gobbledeegook? Even Oprah wouldn't buy it!

Art, no need to be so defensive. I'm told time heals all wounds, and maybe shame/guilt. Were there pictures? longer

PonyUp - I think you asked a very normal and good question and I wish I had the answer for you. Thankfully of the 45 replies (now 46) you have at least 3 (WillTravel, grandmere, and NeoPatrick) who endeavoured to answer your question. I guess the rest are like me and just don't know the answer but feel they have to say something anyway.

My husband and I loved Au Lapin Agile, and I can't claim to really speak French Just a little...

Well, I've loved Au Lapin Agile for the past 25 years and will never pass up an opportunity to return there. Speaking fluent French does help, but I've been there with non-French speakers who had a ball. It's the oldest cabaraet in Paris...and there's no nudity, just a completely old-fashioned Parisian scene with music and drink (kids don't have to drink, of course...would that be better or worse than subjecting them to nudity, I wonder?)

Just popping in here with another opinion. I have seen the Mounlin Rouge and other shows in Paris and think they are outstanding, stylish, and damned impressive. But, my real reason for adding my 2 cents worth is this: any sixteen year old who watches music videos and movies these days is likely to not be offended by nudity in a Paris revue. I realize music videos aren't nude but they are worse that nudity in my opinion with the suggestive moves and the explicit lyrics.

Like I said, just one opinion..

Polemics and basic instinct aside, as I understand it, the Moulin Rouge show has been considerably improved of late. So the folks who are trashing it might be asked, when exactly did you see it? I do believe, however, there are several score things more rewarding to do and see in Paris.
