Cabaret in Paris anyone?

We are going to be in Paris soon, and would like to go to a Cabaret. We are considering the Moulin Rouge
or Lido. Would like to get comments from people who have been to either of these shows in Paris. Did anyone buy their tickets on line from the web-site? Thanks.

Here are a bunch of previous threads. No one mentions buying tickets online that I noticed.

The only real consensus is don't go to eat, just go for the show and drinks.

I would not define the Lido as a cabaret. It is a huge stage production, and amazing. The food is not terrible. It is just not worth eating. Fill up first and go to the late show for the compulsory bottle of champagne.

If you like the erotic, a fancy word for good old sexy behavior, do not miss the Crazy Horse. It's not a cabaret either but you will not forget the evening for a long long time. There goes another bottle of champagne.

The Moulin Rouge/Lido choice again, eh? Ok, I've seen the Moulin Rouge show and it's more variety show than a Crazy Horse show. Yep, there are topless women and the young and old guys have their eyes popping and their mouths open! :)

I cannot believe that people would travel to Paris to see topless women. For the price of a pint ($5.00Cdn) I can see nakin wimens play with a large brass pole. In Quebec they even play with strings of fake pearls. An evening in Paris has soo much more to offer.

I'll travel for the topless man, only kidding.
