Cab at Opera Place

After getting off the Roissy Bus on Opera Place, where does one pick up a cab?

There's a taxi stand right outside the back door (not the one right on the Place de l' Opera) of the Intercontinental Grand hotel. There's probably at least one more right on or near the Place, too.

Thanks StCirq. I have printed up a map for my daughter and putting dots on the stop for Roissy bus. Do you know what street the Intercontinental Grand Hotel is on? Thanks so much.

Also, how is a taxi stand identified? Is there a sign?

The Intercontinental Grand is right ON the Place de l' Opera. As you face it, the taxi stand is down the spoke street that runs to the right of the building.

Taxi stands are marked with signs that say TAXI. There are also usually a bunch of taxis there.

You are not going to have to worry about missing taxis in that location which is quite busy. There are usually taxis outside expensive hotels, like that one (although I don't think those are official taxi stands). If there aren't taxis waiting at a taxi stand, I wouldn't stand there, anyway, as you could be waiting a long time. Sometimes there aren't any at some taxi stands and you would never know how long you could wait. That isn't true so much in a busy location like that, of course, but in general. Lots of taxis would be around there.

The hotel is about the corner of bd des Capucines and rue Scribe. The taxi stand is on the other side of the place de l'Opera from that hotel, only other side of the boulevard (south side).

The main entrance of the Le Grand is at 2 rue Scribe which is about 1/2 block from where the Roissy bus drops you at 1 rue Scribe. That's where we went to catch our cab in April. We stayed at the Le Grand in December but I'm not familiar with the back door.

Thanks so much. You all have been very helpful. With this info I feel a little more confident she can manage.
