Buying train tickets from Innsbruk on a Saturday
We are travelling from Innsbruk to Kitzbuhel on Saturday March 3rd with 2 large suitcases and 2 pairs of skis.
Should I somehow buy these tickets early because it's a Saturday or just do it on the day at the station? It may be at the end of a holiday period in Austria. Anyone who can help with the hol period? |

Saturday or no saturday - you can buy your tickets 24/7 from a ticket machine, even if the counters are closed (which probably won't be the case in a big hub station like Salzburg) >or just do it on the day at the station? It may be at the end of a holiday period in Austria. I am not sure - but even if it is, reserving your seats in advance won't be possible since most of the trains to Kitzbühel are local ones. |
This is a 1hr train ride on a regional train, with direct trains departing every 2hrs. Tickets are good on any train. Simply buy a ticket at the vendo or ticket counter and hop on the next train.
