buying tickets on flights.com
 

My boss really wants to go to a conference but has a limited budget. She asked me to try to find her a good deal on airfare which I did on flights.com. My dilemma is that she is flying during the Olympics and will change planes in Salt Lake. To me this scenario seems like it has the potential for her to encounter problems with her flights. If I buy her ticket through flights.com and there is a problem how will she be able to resolve it? The ticket is on Delta, will they work with her if there is a problem or will she have to go through flights.com. Thanks to anyone out there who has experience that can help me.

Well, I can't help here, but I'd also like to hear from anyone who's used flights.com, good or bad. So, to the top!

I've used flights.com several times, with no problems.<BR><BR>Regarding the change in Salt Lake City: as long as the flights have at least the minimum allowable time between them, it is Delta's responsibility to take care of any problems there.

I'm also considering booking a trip to Germany with them next summer as they have the only halfway decent price I've seen so far. Their site is somewhat confusing as to how it works and what extra charges they may add (they state the ticket price and the tax but say there may be other fees). Anyone book with them that can help?

I have used them before and was quite satisfied. Extra fees were minimal - perhaps the fueling fees and new security fees would be extra. <BR><BR>As I recall, I was unable to get flights.com to send the tickets to my office, even though I would not be home to sign for the Federal Express delivery. They insisted that they must send to the billing address to avoid potential fraud issues. So I had to ask Fed Ex to hold the package and go there to pick it up on Saturday. Slightly incovenient, but still worthwhile considering the savings over other ticket prices I could find at the time.

I used flights.com to fly between Paris & Lisbon (roundtrip). I, too, was confused about several items, such as the final cost. However, they were very helpful--I communicated by e-mail and had all my questions answered to my satisfaction. I flew on Air France which I thought divine! As for your connecting flights, it is the problem of the airline. Just think of them as a travel agency. You can also call their toll free #'s to have your questions answered.
