Buying tapestries in Provence

We will be spending 1 day in Provence/Marsaille (off a cruise ship) and would appreciate advice on buying a tapestry.
Thanks.

Provence is not noted for tapestries--those are mostly produced farther north. But I have seen some small ones in stores that handle high-quality porcelain (primarily Moustiers-Ste-Marie type) and fabrics. I don't know a specific shop, however. Sorry.

I never saw tapestries as I wandered Provence. Lots of brightly colored cottons (Provencal fabric) and gifts made with lavender, but no tapestries.

Mari, there a place in Avignon that sells tapestries and kilims, ancient and new but I think only oriental. Perhaps if you contact them, they may know.

The small tapestries that we saw were in a gift shop at the foot of Les Baux.

Thank you for your quick response...I guess that I will just have to plan another trip to Europe...what a "problem".
