Buying Skis in Germany to Ship to USA
I'm in the market for some new skis and have picked out a Head model I want. There is a German company in CHemnitz taht sells them online through Ebay for prices about US$150 cheaper than I can buy them at home. Even with their estimated $52 shipping, I come way out ahead. Since I know the product and they are new, this seems like the way to go. This is the company, by the way, if anyone knows anything about them (Fun Sport Vision Shop)

Head is a Dutch company so I'm surprised they are so much cheaper there, and the estimated shipping time is acceptable to me as there is no rush What I'm not clear on is if there will be some customs/duty problems if I buy these overseas and have them shipped to the US, and I'm not sure how you would even pay that (the Ebay notice does say maybe there will be customs) or know about it. Does anyone have any knowledge about whether that will be an issue? I've only bought things like CDs and books abroad before and have them shipped to the US, and those were never an issue.
thoughts? thanks

It's a special offer for whatever reason, thus cheaper. The company is reliable, they are well known around here, been there and bought my cross-country skis there.
No idea about customs. It's a US thing, check with your authorities, I am sure there is also a website where you can get info.

Thanks for the comments. I've checked every online source in the US, I know it is cheaper in the German store, as I haven't found any place in the US that sells that ski for less than $450 (that actually has it). I've bought from numerous online US ski/outdoors vendors and no one sells it for less than $450, probably because it is current year. I'm surprised there is such a big difference in price between Germany and US.
The customs thing is mysterious as the Ebay vendor notice just says customs "may" be added on. I've never seen a DHL truck deliver where I live, I'll check into that if I pursue this.
