Buying curling iron/hair dryer in Turkey?
Trying to pack light for our upcoming Turkey trip and wondered if it would be feasible to wait until arriving to purchase a curling iron/hair dryer that works on Turkey's voltage. Our first major stop is Bodrum -- how about purchasing there?
Still couldn't find any clear info on bringing a butane curling iron so I don't want to risk problems at the airport -- flying Northwest and KLM.
Thanks!!! Hope to have "good hair days" while traveling.

If your butane iron is an international brand (such as Braun), you probably can buy gas for it in Turkey.
Compressed gas containers are not permitted on aircraft, either in checked or carry-on luggage.
