Buying CD's in Italy

Will the cd's purchased in Italy be compatible with our cd players in the U.S.?
Thanks
Audrey

Hi L,

They should be.

I have found it helpful to open the CD case prior to paying for it.

Occasionally, the box has been empty.

CDs I bought in Italy have played in my home (US) CD players with no problems. What you need to be careful about are the videos/DVDs, which likely will not be compatible. (A few DVDs may be multi-region, but that's the exception, not the rule.)

Regarding CD's liver, yes definetly you can play them in the US. I have a lot of CD's from Italy as do my kids and have never had a problem.

We have always purchased c.d's with no problem and have seed dvd's we wanted but didn't purchase because of the region thing.

We recently picked up a region free dvd player and have since ordered several dvd's through the mail from Italy and Germany that play fine on this machine.
