Buy Euros before I go or at ATM's in Germany?

I will be a voice of dissent and say to not bring any Euro with you (unless it is from a previous trip). Instead, bring $100 to change in the event all of the ATMs in the airport are not working or out of money.

Avoid using an ATM (Geldautomat in German) that is associated with Reisebank because they are connected with the currency converter booths and give a poor exchange rate.

And, for the love of <insert your preferred deity>, DO NOT use your credit card to get cash from an ATM because of the high rates associated with it (unless you have the SUPER SPECIAL EXCLUSIVE CARD that has ZERO fees).
