Buss pass from Rome to Terni
Hi again, I've finally decided on Terni as my location - I read that it is 40min away from Rome some days. Where could I get information on buss passes? How much does a monthly pass cost? And also how much does a 2day pass cost?
Ps. does anybody know anything about renting bicycles in Terni for 1 month?

Terni is in the Umbria region, whereas Rome is in the Lazio region. There is no bus pass that works between regions. There is a monthly commuter train pass that costs €96 in second class, on regional trains. A single ticket is €6.80, so the pass would break even at about 14 trips per month. The trip takes about an hour on direct trains.
There are (or were) buses that leave for Terni from Rome's Tiburtina station, taking about an hour and a half. I can't find schedules or prices for them. Tiburtina station is a bit out from the center, and the buses would often be caught in traffic jams. I'd prefer to take the bus.

I just noticed that you thought Terni was 40 minutes from Rome. There's no means of transportation that would get you there in 40 minutes. It's a little over one hour by train, 1 hour and 15 minutes by car, and 1 1/2 hours by bus. In heavy traffic the bus (or a car) would take longer. The trains also tend to run late at rush hours.
There's one morning train that gets to Rome in 50 minutes, but it costs more than the regional trains I mentioned above. Then you have to consider the time getting to and from the train station.
You mentioned in another post that you'd be studying in Rome. I think Terni is probably a bit too far for a commute, although I'm sure there are Terni residents who do commute to work in Rome.

There are some trains between Terni and Rome Tiburtina station that take about 50 minutes, but might not be convenient depending on your school location. Tiburtina is on Rome's metro system and is a transportation hub for buses (within Rome and elsewhere).
If you choose somewhere in Lazio, you could get a regional pass. There are zones and price is according to which zones you need.

Thanks everybody. Unfortunately I have now realised that I will not be going to Terni, I figured out some new stuff about my studies and Terni has now turned into Florence. So much uncertainty at the moment about where I'm gonna end up going!
