Busing the small towns
 

Hey for anyone who can help - thanks. I'll be in Granada, Cordoba and Sevilla a month from now in that order. Quite excited.

I'll be in Granada and Cordoba each for only one day. Ideally, I would get on the earliest bus when traveling from one city to the next to maximize time. So specifically, if there was a 7am bus from one town to the next, do I have to get a bus ticket on the internet before arriving? Or is it as easy as just showing up at that 7am bus and buying a ticket then. In the end, I want to wake up and get on the bus and not have to waste a couple hours waiting if the bus I wanted was full.

Nothing is guaranteed, but end of October should be no problem to move around in buses or trains.

Granada, Cordoba and Sevilla are Capitals (i.e., NOT 'small towns'). Sevilla has two (2) Major Bus terminals: Prado de San Sebastian which services most southbound (Algeciras, Cadiz, etc.) routes and Plaza de Armas, Sevilla's main bus station which services most 'thru' routes.

If it were me, I would go to the bus station (Granada or Cordoba) the day before to get the departure schedule and buy a ticket and reservation for the bus you want on the following day. I'm not 100% sure you will be able to do that but it's worth a try.

I agree, better buy them the day before or showing up an hour early.

But you may spend more time going to the bus stn the day before to book your ticket (and coming back) than you would just waiting for the next bus if the early one was full. Unless you speak enuf Spanish to do it over the phone. Honest - if you get there say half an hour before departure you would be really unlucky not to get on the bus of your choice at that time of year. yearrnus I g
