Business class to Italy
Trying to decide between Delta or British Air to Italy this sumer. Wanting to splurge on a business class seat but unsure which airline would be a better experience..any comments?

I've done both in business and prefered Delta. Both bed seats were comfortable but BA had a 2 4 2 congfiguration and if you were in the middle 2 seats and the people on either side were flat out you were stuck or would have to high jump over them!If BA has changed the seating and it's a direct flight then I'd go with BA

Always like British Airways Business Class. The beds are nice, the food is good and you get a lounge pass, so you can eat dinner in the lounge (very nicely served) before flying if you wish.
Just make sure you get a side bed-meaning not in the middle. And go for the last seat in business as it's tough to get in and out if you are at the window because, once reclined, there is really no room to step over the person in the aisle bed. My favorite way is to take the window bed and have the hub in the aisle bed. The window is cozier and you're not as "exposed" as in an aisle bed.

I've taken Delta twice with good experiences. The last time, May 2011, was really great. They redid the interiors of the planes and the bed was truly a flat bed that could be configured in many different positions. Also, the cabin was reconfigured to be 1 2 1 so that the window seats were really great for solo travelers. We were two and chose the middle seats. I have friends who always fly British Air Business to Europe and like it. One thing I will share about last year with Delta. We were flying home from Pisa. It's a seasonal non-stop flight to JFK that would have been great for us. The last part of our trip was in Montepulciano. Two weeks before we left the US, they cancelled the flight. No explanation and no recourse. It was the only flight of the day and we had to get to Milan (or Rome to go home), change car reservation, etc.
