Santorini and Naxos both have excellent public transport systems. You won't have any trouble exploring these islands by bus.

There is regular bus service from Naxos town to Agia Anna hourly in the shoulder season and every half hour in high season. The bus continues on the Plaka beach then returns through Agia Anna to Naxos town.

To get bus service around the island you have to go to Naxos town main terminal at the ferry port where the buses depart.

Thanks for your advise as my arrival is May 22nd 2017
And departure May 30th
Imagine not full on heavy tourist season but suspect bus times
to suit locals

Again thanks

The buses to Agia Anna are for tourists. The ones to the interior are scheduled for the locals.
