bus/train costs around Tuscany

I will be in Italy for about 5 weeks... and I'm trying to plan a budget. I will be staying with friends in Florence... and will travel throughout Tuscany, the coast, and hopefully the North via bus/train. I understand that the bus system in Tuscany can often be a better choice ... any ideas of costs from different city destinations, or local bus costs. is there a website that lists bus and train costs... ?

IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER: I'm definitely planning on making it to Siena, Montepulciano, Montalcino, Pienza, Lucca, Volterra, Arezzo, etc ... and Cinque Terre, Positano, SML ... and hopefully Verona! many thanks!!
