Bus or Train
Can anyone please tell which is more convenient the bus system or trains. We need one from Madrid to Granada, Granada to Seville, and Seville to Madrid.
Any suggestions as to which would be the best. We are not concerned about luxury, but we want to be comfortable and safe. Thanks in advance. |
Either way would be fine. The train would be the most expensive, but also the most efficient if you are only traveling between these cities.

I'd go by bus from Madrid to Granada and between Granada and Seville and definitely by AVE bullet train between Seville and Madrid (2.5 hrs by hourly train)
Madrid-Granada train: lv 8:20am ar 14:10 - only other direct train leaves 17:02 aar 22:48 but buses go much more frequently. 4 daily trains but buses more frequent and take more direct route Granada-seville take 3 hrs so that's not so bad. |
Thanks for your replies. Can anyone give me a rough estimate of how much buses cost in comparison to trains?
Thanks again. |
Not exact prices but buses are significantly cheaper in my understanding. Check rail fares at www.renfe.es - spanish rail web site and google Spanish buses for a bus site. On the Seville-Madrid route buses would take much longer than the up to 186 mph trains.
