Bus from Avignon to Les Baux-de-Provence in June?
 

I thought it was possible to take a bus from Avignon to Les Baux, but I cannot find a schedule. Could anyone send me a link? Thank you!

This year's #57 bus time table valid until May 27th is not showing the Les Baux route (yet?):

Take train from center station of Avignon to Arles, costs about 9 euro and takes 15-20 minute.
In Arles, the bus station is right across the street from the train station. Buses make RT to Les Baux all day, takes about 25 minutes, don't remember cost because they had 1 euro special the day we went.
This was the schedule in Summer, July and August and part of September, don't know about earlier.
At that time, there was also a bus that went from Les Baux to Avignon. If that is running, it would, of course, be best.

There used to be a seasonal bus from St Remy to Les Baux (there is a regular service from Avignon to St Remy). We went at a time when buses were not running so we took a taxi from St Remy to Les Baux - cost 20euro in 2008. We walked back to St Remy. From memory (which might be dodgy) it was about 12km and very scenic (the track does not follow the road). Even the kids enjoyed the walk.

Thanks, all! If the bus runs the same as last year, we should be ok since we are there until the 30th. Good to know there are other options, as well. We're actually staying in ISLS so any journey involves getting to Avignon first, either by bus or train.

I chose ISLS for my 13 yr old granddaughter and me b/c I'd heard it had good public transport; however I'm finding that almost every place we'd like to go involves getting to Avignon first. As far as I can see, the busses from ISLS don't directly go to places that would be of interest to a teenager, with the exception of Fontaine de Vaucluse. Carpentras, maybe. I've "done" western Provence in the past, basing outside Gordes in a lovely gite--and with a car. This will be very different!

There are buses between Carpentras and Vaison la Romaine if that's of interest. Vaison la Romaine is an interesting town.

Our kids (9 and 12) loved Les Baux. There was a treasure hunt map where you tick off found items, although your granddaughter may be too old for that.

Dreamon, good to know there would be a way to get to Vaison by bus. I think she would like the treasure hunt map in Les Baux. Les Baux will be a "for sure" on our fluid itinerary! I've been there twice before, but think it will be a fun time for her--worth the hassle in getting there! I'm trying to balance our plans with not too many Roman ruins for a 13 yr old! She's already been to Nimes, but Arles does seem worth a trip, also.

Realizing that we're going to be spending a lot of time coordinating buses and trains to get places, and I knew that going in, but that's the way it goes.

Contemplating Cassis for a day; surprisingly to me, not any longer to get there by train than some of these other places that require bus/train changes.
