burgandy itiniary questions
 

I have been reading alot if posts, doing my research and now Im ready to post.
I am ready for the experts!!

We are taking the train to dijon. Then we were thinking of staying in a chateau. Chateau De Messey in Tournas.

We want to visit Beaune, Nuits St Georges, and meander around the Tournus area.

Now I have read that Flavigny is 1 hour from Dijon. Iwould love to visit where chocolat was filmed.

We will have 2 nights, so I am rethinking staying at chateau de messey and stay closer to beaune.
what do you think? Well all sugestions are welcome. PJ

If visiting where chocolat was filmed is more important than staying at the chateau, do it.

Only you can decide.

Is Flavigny to the west by Bourges? If it is I wouldn't recommend it with a 2 night stay in Burgundy. It's over a hundred miles on secondary roads from Dijon. That'll take much longer than an hour. It could be closer to 3 depending upon traffic. For me that's way too long in a car for a few hours to spend at a destination. There's so much to see and do in Burgundy.

If you really want to see Flavigny I'd tie it in with a visit to Bourges and forget Burgundy.

Sometimes it is hard to cut things out of your ititinary, I want to do it all!!
