Burg Eltz Castle Germany
 

Has anybody been to this Castle. I am traveling to Germany in 2008 staying in Koln and Munich. I am taking a cruise down the Rhine from Koln. Which stop along the Rhine would you get off to see this castle. How far would it be to walk or can you catch transport.

A Rhine cruise won't take you to Burg Eltz because it's in the Mosel valley.

Thanks all you have been a great help. I'll have to think about this one, sounds like a hassle.

Very much worth the hassle though.

Get off the boat in Koblenz and take the short train ride to Moselkern. From there, walk to the castle.
