Is there still bullfighting in Nimes? I will be there in July.

For sure, note that this is the skilled, kind sort not the Spanish thing.

Not sure what that means, they do kill bulls in France for one type of corrida they have (and they do that at Nimes). In fact, the main anti-bullfighting (at least when they kill the bull, tauromachie) organization is headquartered in Nimes, which is something. They don't kill the bulls in the Camargue type of bullfight, but there are exemptions in France for towns to be allowed to kill bulls if the town can claim some historical claim to that activity and most of the south does (even though theoretically, killing bulls in bullfights is banned in France). And Nimes and Arles do have that exemption. It's totally disgusting.

However, I don't think they have any in July anyway, although they do in September and then I think May is the last time before summer.

No bullfighting is kind no matter how you compare it to Spanish blood baths. All animal torture.
