I can understand a celebratory dinner for someone whose wife has left him, but ** why did she cover the wine bottles **?

Because Budman sent her a bottle of his wine and she wanted to see if her guests could tell his "home brew" from "store bought".

There will be 4 of us and its my parents first trip to Italy so I want to make it the most fun? We will be driving down to San Gimignano and Pienza also and then back up to the Cinque Terre and Lake Como. I dont know if you passed that way.

I left out the I, ira. I have arthritis in my fingers so I make many mistakes, can't feel the keys.
But He did hide his wine bottles so she wouldn't take them!

Aine, the food was very good. If I were to have any complaints, I felt like I was being treated line an "American." That is, I finished one course, and the next one was slapped down in front of me -- almost like they wanted table turnover.

On the bright side, we met up with another fodorite couple, marchy007. We ordered another pitcher of wine after dinner to share -- weren't going to let them move us out. We made some new friends and had a fabulous time. We also had something uniquely in common -- neither one of our wives drink red wine. ((a))
