Budget hotel in Istanbul
We'd like to go to Istanbul in September and have read good things about the following budget to mid-range hotels:
Hotel Nomade
Hotel Empress Zoe
Ayasofia Pansyonlari
Sari Konak Hotel
Does anyone have first-hand experience with these hotels?

I have heard the Blue House is another good one. We stayed at the President Hotel that was close to the Sultanamet (Blue Mosque). It included a great breakfast buffet and was about $100 a night.....could be less in off season.Have you checked Lonelyplanet.com or Fordor's destinations?

Rich-check out the webpage for the Best Western Hotel Spectra in Istanbul. We stayed there in March and it was wonderful. It is right across the street from the Hippodrome and Blue Mosque. They provide a free internet cafe in their lobby with free hotel/airport pickup if you stay at least 3 nights. Our family walked everywhere(took the local trolley/bus to Grand Bazaar and the stop was just down the street).Aye Sophie and all other stuff was right there. It was abut $70.00 a night per room and that included cable TV,A/C and breakfast on the roof with views of the Bosphorus River and Blue Mosque. It was clean and comfortable and the staff was very helpful.(Most important was that it had an elevator which alot of these old converted Ottoman houses that are now hotels do not.........)Have a marvelous time!
