Salt mone tours can be done with public transport or have to take some tour company?

So in Salzburg if it rains better not to go to Lake District?

Doesn't say it does but says if you want to take excursions - tours it will give a desicount on some of those - but I think it is not valid on transportation outside of Salzburg - now Hallein and the Salt Mines is maybe in the area - it does say it covers some post buses (they usually go long-distance out of cities). May cover admission to Salt Mines - I did not peruse it enough.

but regular postal bus fare to the Lakes is not expensive - to the Salt Mines even cheaper.
