Hi Joy. In October, a friend and I had the pleasure of renting an apartment from Budapest Vacation Rentals.
www.budapestvacationrentals.hu

I don't know what size apartment you are looking for (there are seven of them) but these apartments are top quality.

We stayed in Olive. I almost always rent apartments in Europe. If the other six apartments are as comfortable as Olive was, I think you will be very pleased indeed.

First of all the landlord lives in the US. All communications with him are the easiest of any I have ever had. The apartments have VOIP so that you can call the US free of charge anytime. There is free internet service, a comfortable bed and linens, and you would be surprised but the bathroom was outfitted with even more amentities then you would find in a hotel like toothpaste, shaving cream and of course soap and shampoo.
There were towels to take to the baths so you don't have to rent them.
The kitchen was small in Olive but with everything you could want. There is a super Nepresso coffe maker with coffee capsules. The apartment opens up into a courtyard and was very quiet.
I could go on and on. The location is super with easy walking to museums, Central Market, etc. The information about the area provided by the landlord is invaluable.
You would not be disappointed.

Joy, like Sher, my husband and I rented an apartment , Max, from John at budapestvacationrentals.com. He has a wonderful website, everythingbudapest.com, that you should really take a look at for absolutely everything you need to know about the city. In addition to the convenience of a phone to call home free, Max, and I asume the other rentals too, had a washer/dryer, computer and a cell phone for your use while staying there. John has thought of absolutely everything in his apartments and I don't think you could go wrong renting any of them. Have a fun trip, Budapest is a great city!

Hi everybody,

In 2009 I stayed for 10 days in a lovely apartment named Art Deco Obuda. Nice area with pubs and restaurants within walking distance. The apartment was very clean with everything you could need and excellent public transport links to everywhere you would need to go. The owners were very helpful and speak French too. They have a home page http://apartdeco.hu

Enjoy Budapest!

I was in Budapest 2 times. I rented with Dunaflat Apartments.
The owner is so kind to give us many suggestions about the city and the citylife.
We rented Puccini apartment in Octogon so comfortable and located in a cool district of the city center, full of restaurants, cafes, disco.
During New years Day we rented apartment Turandot because we was 8 people and we wanted to stay all together. Carme apartment is majestic.
