Budapest Tour Guide

We did a four hour orientation tour with Andrea Makkay, recommened by Rick Steves, and were very, very pleased with her services. Her email is [email protected]. She was informative, well organized, charming and accommodated our particular interests.

How much did she charge for the 4 hours?

I can recommend Marta Homonnai, very knowleadgeable and good English. She works for a big company, - that's how we met, - but I don't remember the company and don't have the e-mail, only Marta's phone # +36 (1) 385-2843, +36 (70) 265-4674.

I am so sorry but I just don't remember; I know we opted for the four hour tour with a van...I thought it was cost effective because there were six of us. If you email her, she will give you the information about cost.

I know there are several guides available in Budapest. I work as a guide myself, but I know of others as well, for example the: privatetoursbudapest.com or tourguidebudapest.com.

So there are plenty to choose from, and though the english level differs, normally it is quite okay, at least among private guides.

I highly recommend Jeff Taylor. He was fantastic and I can't say enough good things about him. I don't have the URL for his website anymore, but here is his contact information: Jeff Taylor, +36 20 9335 240
