Budapest to Berlin - car or plane?
 

Please advise as to the options for traveling from Budapest to Berlin... any idea on low cost flight options? Thanks.

When is the trip, and what is the rest of the itinerary? Any chance you can fit the use of FinnAir into your trip - - i.e., fly transatlantic into or out of Helsinki? This is a longshot, but you might be surprised at how something might work out.

Fodors - car or plane? <BR> <BR>The night train costs 146 US dollars with a couchette, and 166 dollars with a berth in a 3-berth sleeping compartment. Thanks for the advice. I am locked into taking United or Delta over... Between Budapest & Berlin I can choose whatever.... Then, I will meet my family in Berlin and travel through Germany.

Take the train & 8 hours of nice countryside & actually quick trip, see Prague. It is well worth it. Berlin is just 4 hours more up the track. I think we paid about $60-70 2 years ago for Berlin-Dresden-Prague-Budapest, but buy the train tickets there.
