Budapest summer weather

What's the weather like in Budapest in July and August? Many say it's too hot, is it as hot as Istanbul for instance?

No it is not hot IME in any sense of the word - certainly not like Istanbul. You may have to even bundle up at times.

You can get thunder storms rolling out of Austria and down along the Great Plain which offer up sudden very localised down pours, just keep and eye out

It can be hot and humid just like Vienna, Prague, and the rest of Central Europe.

Kay, if you're from Dubai, you might be cold in Budapest in the summer :)
