Budapest: Marriott, Intercontinental, Meridian, or Four Seasons?

We'll be spending 3 nights in Budapest in October. Anyone able to compare these hotels? We heard the Danube view is something to seek. We know the Four Seasons would be the "best" hotel; but, does it have a view and is it worth the extra $$?
Thanks

While not as luxurious as the others the view from the Marriott can't be beat...most rooms have balconies. We had a fantastic view of the castle. The Intercontinental has views of the Danube but no balconies. I'd recommend the Marriott if the view is important to you.

I personally have not been to Budapest--yet, but my mom is Hungarian and from Budapest. Her and her sisters always stay at the Kempinski and they love it. I know it's not on your list but check it out.

For Seasons is the most expensive, but most beautiful location, and the building is a wonder! You have to pay some extra for the Danube View. For me the 2nd choice would be the Le Meridien, it is very elegant, it has a bit French flair, excellent restaurant, and wonderful rooms. Just 2 blocks from 4 Seasons, close to the Jewish Heritage. Danube View is not possible.
Interconti is a 5* hotel, but not the newest one. Rooms are nice, but nothing special. I love the restaurant at the Danube. Excellent kitchen!
Marriott has in all rooms Danube View, nice hotel, nice rooms, but they will do some renovation.
Sofitel is newly renovated; it is modern styled now, next to Interconti. Nice rooms, superb beds, very good restaurant. It has a nice atmosphere, modern elegant, but also a bit special.

Perhaps the info is too late for OP, I stayed at Le Meridian for 7 nights last month, the public area is less impressive than Four Season; but lovely and quite room, good breakfast but very expensive, the best is the location, right at Deak Ter: the intersection of 3 metro line and stops for many buses and trams.

I stayed at the Marriott and the view was great!

For fantastic sweeping Danube views from the Buda side the Hilton is terrific.

I'm not sure I agree that the Four Seasons is necessarily the "best" hotel.

We stayed in the Hilton as well and the sweeping views of the Danube are wonderful..depends on what side of the river you think is best.

How strange that people are now responding to a query posted last July about what hotel in Budapest in October!
Who knows what mg48 ended up doing.

We stayed in the Radisson last June.
