Budapest International Wine Festival
 

I can't seem to find the exact dates for this festival in Sept. 2009, and am hoping we will be there for it. Also, would appreciate any suggestions for moderately priced rooms in Budapest. We will be there for three days. There are 12 of us, and we are taking the hydrofoil from Vienna - good idea? Also, any off the path "must sees?"

I had a wee (smug) smile to myself when I read the heading, but... I see it's quite serious. Ongoogling I found it on the tourist office web-site. It's the 3rd to the 13th.

Thanks Sheila... I sure didn't mean to sound smug.....I had just read about it and it sounds more like a wine "Oktoberfest"! Anyhow, we'll be there for it...so , come on over and I'll buy ye a "wee" glass of wine!!!

I didn't mean YOU were smug. I was castigating myself for being superior about Hungarian wine. It looks like a real big deal. Have a ball!
