Budapest and Prague for 2 weeks ? Question about location

Hello All,
Looking forward to trip to Prague and Budapest. My question is for a location in Prague.
We are two females looking for an apartment in Prague. We have our accomadation in Budagpest however we are having difficulty finding an apt. that either the price is right or that we can agree upon. We are looking at the Mala Starna area near the Charles Bridge and the other location is Old Town Square. We like to be close to restaurants, night life, jazz clubs and cafes where we can have a drink in the evening. Mala Starna area looks much quieter than the area around Old Town Square. Can you make suggestions in for the area?
Anyone with apt. suggestions that would be great as well. This is both our first trip to Prague however have been to Europe several times.

Thanks much!

Arcadia Residence (that is a hotel located a bit out of the central area) does have apartments just off the Old Town Square (Kozna) and others in Mala Strana (Havelskà). They have a great reviews so you should check it.

The owner's name is Pasquale, I think. He seems very helpful and his hotel is actually No1 on Tripadvisor in spite of its location.

That's true and applies to above Kozna and Havelskà too. I tend to stay more often in Mala Strana but for your requirements (close to the actions), Kozna would be better.

Thanks for the info. We found an apt. in Mala Strana near the Charles Bridge with a water view decided to go with that.

travelanywhere,
We have stayed in Mala Strana twice & we love that location. It's a beautiful part of the city & we like that it is quieter than Old Town Square. The advantage to staying in Mala Strana, IMO, is that you will most likely walk across the Charles Bridge every day you are in Prague. What better views could you possibly ask for??? Especially at night, when you cross the bridge in either direction!!! That is one of the most memorable and special views & memories I will always have.
