Budapest
What are the most important things to see?
|
Do a search for "Budapest" here, lots of info.
On the Buda side, there is lots to see on castle hill and great views from there. The House of Terror (former headquarters of the Communist secret police) is a very worthwhile museum. Going to the Baths is also a nice local experience. Andrew |
Can anyone tell me what type of dress code is used in Budapest and Prague? We are not going to wear jeans and will be casual nice, but do we need to be more than that at the wine cellars and restaurants with 3 or more stars? Thanks to all. We are leaving this Thursday and I would hate to repack.

Take in the Baths at the Gellert an old old historic hotel and very beautiful.

In answer to the question about "dress code" in Prague and Budapest: We found many people (especially young) in Budapest to be dressed quite smartly. Prague perhaps a bit less so. Casual nice will fit in fine. We had dinner at Restaurant David in Prague (based on very good reviews here) and no ties for men and trousers for women was the norm for that evening.
