Budapest, 2 or 3 days enough?

I will be visiting Budapest for the first time I am planning my itinerary. I am wondering if the main sights can been seen comfortably in two or three days? Budapest is part of a larger trip to Europe, and my schedule is better if I stay two days (three night in Budapest), instead of three days.

Any advice on this subject will be appreciated.

Thank you.h

I say the more, the better, but I enjoy going to recitals , ballet and opera while there. The main sites can be seen in a couple days.

Do try to fit in a night of music at one of your restaurant visits. I don't think there is another European capital that offers so much dining entertainment.

I have two reports about the trips I took. I hope you can find them easily.

Budapest is worth it, either way but I'd try to squeeze in 3 if I could. There are quite a lot of sights and it's nice to have time to enjoy some walking, rather than dashing, as well.

3 days minimum, IMO. You can find my trip report from May 2009 by clicking on my name. We were there for 4 full days.

Yes 2-3 days is enough
..but minimum
I live in Budapest if you need something ask me
It's better to stay 5 days for me or a week but anyway ...

I am at your disposal for any information

I think 2 days would be rushing it, but it depends on what you want to see and experience.

Thanks for all the feedback, I do appreciate your help. I will spend three and a half days in Budapest.
